Resumen:
Los artrópodos son extremadamente diversos y viven en diferentes ambientes, tanto terrestres como acuáticos. En función de la biología de las especies, estos afectan de diferentes modos al ser humano. Por ejemplo, pueden actuar como vectores de enfermedades tanto en humanos como en animales de interés veterinario, plagas de cultivos, controladores biológicos, especies indicadoras de calidad de ambientes, entre otras. A pesar de que los artrópodos afectan varios aspectos del ser humano, el conocimiento de estos en la provincia de La Pampa es relativamente escaso y limitado a unas pocas especies. Es por esto que el presente proyecto tiene como objetivo incrementar el conocimiento de los artrópodos con énfasis en especies que afectan directamente al humano en la provincia de La Pampa. Para llevar a cabo esto se realizarán colectas con diferentes técnicas en reservas naturales municipales (Reserva Natural y Territorio Sagrado de la Lof Rankel Mapuce Toay y Reserva Natural Delfín Pérez), provinciales (Parque Luro y Cerro Negro) y nacionales (Parque Nacional Lihué Calel). Tambien, de muestrearan monocultivos y remanentes de pastizales naturales aledaños.
Los resultados posibilitarán la construcción de inventarios y colecciones de referencia de especies para reservas naturales provinciales, municipales y zonas con actividad agraria. Mantener un monitoreo de vectores y detección temprana de posibles invasiones de especies que impacten en forma negativa a los habitantes en áreas periurbanas y urbanas de la provincia de La Pampa.
Abstract:
Arthropods are extremely diverse and live in almost all known environments where life is possible, both terrestrial and aquatic. Depending on the biology of the species, they affect humans in different ways. For example, arthropods can develop as disease vectors in both humans and animals of veterinary interest, crop pests, biological controllers, environmental quality indicator species, amongst others. Although arthropods affect several activities of the human being, our current knowledge of their diversity in the province of La Pampa is relatively scarce and limited to a few species. For that reasons, the aim of this project will be to increase the knowledge of arthropods with emphasis on species that directly affect humans in the province of La Pampa. In order to carry out this, collections will be made with different techniques in municipal (Nature Reserve and Sacred Territory of the Lof Rankel Mapuce Toay and Delfín Pérez Natural Reserve), provincial (Parque Luro and Cerro Negro Natural Reserves) and national (Lihué Calel National Park) protected areas. Also, monocrops and remnants of surrounding natural grasslands will be sampled. In addition, sampling will be carried out in urban and peri-urban areas in order to detect species of interest in public health.
The results of this proyects will enable the construction of inventories and reference collections of species for provincial and municipal nature reserves and areas with agricultural activity. They will also contribute to maintain vector monitoring and early detection of possible invasions of species that negatively impact the inhabitants of peri-urban and urban areas of the province of La Pampa.
