Las agallas o cecidias son alteraciones morfo-anatómicas de órganos y tejidos de la planta hospedera en respuesta a estímulos provenientes de organismos inductores. Los insectos y ácaros producen agallas con una estructura interna y aspecto definidos, características que definen morfotipos de agallas. El presente proyecto busca estudiar la diversidad de agallas inducidas por artrópodos en las plantas leñosas del bosque de caldén, Prosopis caldenia Burkart mediante la identificación, caracterización morfo-anatómica y ocurrencia de los morfotipos de agallas.

ABSTRACT: The galls are morpho-anatomical alterations of organs and tissues of the host plant in response to stimuli from inducing organisms. Insects and mites produce galls with an internal structure and defined appearance, characteristics that define gall morphotypes. The present project search to study the diversity of galls induced by arthropods on woody plants in Prosopis caldenia Burkart forests through the identification, morpho-anatomical characterization and occurrence of the gall morphotypes.
