RESUMEN del PROYECTO: (Máximo 200 palabras)
Las especies foráneas pueden representar cierto riesgo ecológico por la competencia que establece con el resto de los mamíferos autóctonos y por la posibilidad de dispersión de enfermedades, tanto infecciosas como parasitarias, entre los animales domésticos, silvestres y los humanos; por lo que resulta necesario conocer si los mismos son portadores o no de diferentes enfermedades y/o parásitos. El objetivo general del proyecto es determinar la presencia de distintas enfermedades en Sus scrofa (jabalí), Cervus elaphus (ciervo colorado), Antílope cervicapra (antílope), entre otras especies silvestres. Se tratará de determinar si dichas especies se encuentran expuesto a Toxoplasma gondii (toxoplasmosis), Trypanosoma cruzi (Chagas), Brucella sp. (brucelosis), Leptospira (leptospirosis), Trichinella sp.(triquinelosis). Además se analizará la carga parasitaria que puedan presentar y se lo comparará con la del ganado bovino. Los datos que se obtengan permitirán establecer si las distintas especies tienen importancia en la epidemiología de algunas enfermedades que puedan afectar a los animales domésticos y al hombre, y aportar los primeros datos sobre el tema para La Pampa.
ABSTRACT:
Foreign species may represent a certain ecological risk due to the competition they establish with the rest of the native mammals and due to the possibility of infectious and parasitic diseases dispersal, among domestic, wild and human animals; Therefore, it is necessary to know whether foreign species are carriers of different diseases and / or parasites. The general objective of the project is to investigate the presence of different diseases in Sus scrofa (wild boar), Cervus elaphus (red deer), Antílope cervicapra (antelope), among other wild species. It will try to determine if these species are exposed to Toxoplasma gondii (toxoplasmosis), Trypanosoma cruzi (Chagas), Brucella sp. (brucellosis), Leptospira (leptospirosis), Trichinella sp. (trichinellosis). In addition, the parasitic load they may present will be analyzed and compared with that of cattle. The data obtained will allow to establish if different species evaluated are important in the epidemiology of some diseases that may affect domestic, wild animals and human, and provide the first data of these problems for La Pampa.
